SGA named NBA MVP again

Oklahoma City Thunder guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander was named the NBA Most Valuable Player for the 2025-26 season.

This marks his second consecutive MVP award.He led a tightly contested race this season with historical performances, cementing his status as one of the league's elite players:

Became only the 14th player in NBA history to win back-to-back MVP awards.

Broke the all-time NBA record for consecutive games scoring 20+ points.

Joined Michael Jordan as the only guards to average \(30+\) points on \(50+\%\) shooting in four straight seasons.

Became the only guard to ever average \(30+\) points on \(55+\%\) shooting.

Led the league in total clutch points

Michael MyersConsistency is king. He's the most consistently great player of the past two seasons. Over 130 consecutive 20pt games. Not even Wilt or Jordan has done this.

Pied PiperThe OKC GM Presti is a rockstar. SGA was not a guarantee coming out of the 2018 draft. He was pick #11. He's been with 3 teams technically (Hornets then Clippers). Credit to SGA for elevating his game to approaching HOF heights.
