Casino KingPeople are quick to think that because of the money and the transfer portal (free agency) that it's become a lot more like the NBA but it's still fundamentally very different. Dealing with contracts will feel familiar but having to construct a new roster on basically a year to year basis where you have to nail talent evaluation not just in high school kids but in transfers from multiple different levels (e.g., D2 and FCS schools with kids who were underrecruited) is not an easy thing. It's far from what Malone will be used to (coaching NBA HOF Nikola Jokic) and if he doesn't nail his staff hires to help with navigating this it can go off the rails quickly.
